TARC, Human (Thymus and Activation Regulated Chemokine)

Human TARC is a recently discovered protein belonging to the beta-chemokine (C-C) family of cytokines, secreted by activated monocytes, thymic and lymph node dendritic cells. It is chemotactic towards activated T cells (Th2 subset) which express express CCR4 but ineffective on monocytes. Human TARC is an 8.0kD protein containing 71 amino acid residues.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Neutralization, ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nNeutralization: 20-30ug/ml will yield one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity of hTARC (100ng/ml).\n\nELISA: 0.5ug/ml; using 100ul/well antibody solution. When used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents 0.2-0.4ng/well of recombinant hTARC can be detected.\n\nWestern Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml will detect 1.5-3.0ng/lane under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.\n\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol and store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
