The T Cell Receptor alpha/beta (TCR) is expressed on T lymphocytes of all mouse strains tested. Plate-bound or soluble antibody activates a/b TCR-bearing T cells. In vitro and in vivo, the antibody can induce immature thymocytes to undergo apoptosis. In vivo administration of this antibody has been shown to deplete a/b TCR-bearing cells to near completion and prevent graft rejection.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. \n\nRecommended Dilutions: \nFlow Cytometry: 1:100-1:200. Use 10ul to label 10e6 cells or 100ul whole blood. \nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. \n\nRecommended Negative Control: \nHamster (Armenian) IgG Negative Control\n\nRecommended Secondary Antibodies:\nGoat anti Hamster IgG (PE)\n\nHybridoma: \nSpleen cells from immunized Armenian hamsters were fused with cells of the mouse P3X63Ag.653 myeloma cell line.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Recognizes the mouse alpha/beta T cell receptor, reacting specifically with the beta chain. Does not show any reactivity towards the gamma beta T cell receptor. Will activate T cells when used in immobilized form.
