TCR, V beta 7 (T Cell Receptor) (FITC)

Reacts with the mouse T cell receptor Vb7 segment. T cells expressing the a/b T cell receptor use clonally distributed TCRs to recognize cell-bound antigens such as peptide/MHC complexes and viral superantigens. The a/b TCR is an oligomeric TCR complex composed of covalently bound alpha and beta chains involved in antigen recognition and the non-covalently associated monomorphic proteins CD3d, g, e, and z chains. This antibody reacts with one such clonally distributed TCR b chain known as Vb7. Vb7 is expressed on a small subpopulation of both CD4+ and CD8+ T cells. This antibody has been used for the identification of Vb7 expressing T cells by flow cytometry and immunoprecipitation.\n\nFusion Partners: Spleen cells from immunized mice were fused with cells of the P3-X63 Ag8.3 myeloma cell line.\n\nApplications:\nFlow Cytometry: Neat. Use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label 1x10e6 cells in 100ul.\nOptimal working dilutions to be determined by researcher.\n\nHybridoma: \nP3-X63 Ag8.3 rat myeloma cells with spleen cells from mice.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
