TDO (Tryptophan 2,3-dioxygenase) incorporates oxygen into the indole moiety of tryptophan. Has a broad specificity towards tryptamine and derivatives including D- and L-tryptophan, 5-hydroxytryptophan and serotonin. Biological Activity: Enzymatic activity of recombinant human TDO (heme-free) at 450nm (see Figure 1). Enzymatic activity of recombinant human TDO (heme-free) at 480nm (see Figure 2). Sequence: Human TDO (aa 2-406) is fused at the N-terminus to a His-tag. Storage and Stability: Short-term Storage: +4 degrees C Long-term Storage: -20 degrees C Stable for at least 1 year after receipt when stored at -20 degrees C. Working aliquots are stable for up to 3 months when stored at -20 degrees C.
