TDT (DNA Nucleotidylexotransferase, Terminal Addition Enzyme, Terminal Deoxynucleotidyltransferase, Terminal Transferase, DNTT)

Terminal Deoxynucleotidyl Transferase (TDT), is a 55-60kD DNA polymerase located in the cell nucleus, which catalyses the polymerization of deoxynucleotides at the 3' hydroxyl ends of oligo or polydeoxynucleotide initiators and functions without a template. TDT is considered to be a highly specific marker for the diagnosis and classification of acute lymphoblastic lymphoma/leukemia. The determination of TDT expression is most valuable when it is different to differentiate histologically between lymphoblastic lymphoma and Burkitt's lymphoma.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nImmunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 1:25 for 10min at RT\nStaining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control:\nThymus\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
