TFPI (Extrinsic pathway inhibitor)

TFPI(Tissue factor pathway inhibitor) also known as EPI, LACI, TFI and TFPT1 is a single-chain \npolypeptide which can reversibly inhibit Factor Xa (Xa) and Thrombin (Factor IIa). While Xa is inhibited, \nthe Xa-TFPI complex can subsequently also inhibit the FVIIa-tissue factor complex. TFPI contributes \nsignificantly to the inhibition of Xa in vivo, despite being present at concentrations of only 2.5 nM. The \ngene for TFPI is located on chromosome 2q31-q32.1, and has nine exons which span 70 kb. TFPI has a \nrelative molecular mass of 34,000 to 40,000 depending on the degree of proteolysis of the C-terminal \nregion.\nREFERENCE\n\nUniProt Number:\nP10646\n\nGene ID:\nTFPI\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin).\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Handling:\nStore at -20?C for one year. After reconstitution, store at 4?C for one month. Can also be aliquoted and stored frozen at -20?C for long term.\nAvoid repeated freezing and thawing. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
