Thyroid hormones regulate general metabolism and normal cellular growth and development. These actions are regulated by the thyroid hormone receptor (TR), a ligand-dependent transcriptional factor. At least two genes and several isoforms encode TR. Recent studies have implicated a role of TRs in thyroid hormone-induced apoptosis in larval tissues and proliferation of adult cell types. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:32,000 Western Blot: 0.5-1,5ug/ml, observed in human bone marrow lysates on ~60+50kD bands Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
