Thrombin (HRP)

Conjugated to HRP by the periodate method. Uncomplexed peroxidase is removed by repeated salt precipitation. The conjugate has an Rz (Reinheitszahl, A401/A275) ratio of 0.41 as determined spectrophotometrically.\n\nApplication:\nSuitable for use as a source of enzyme linked antibodies to rabbit thrombin. Other applications not tested.\n\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

IgG prepared from antiserum was analyzed by immunoelectrophoresis and found to react with purified thrombin and prothrombin. Only one arc was seen with normal plasma, no arc was seen with barium-adsorbed plasma.
