Thymosin alpha 1

Thymosin alpha-1 acetate, also known as thymalfasin has immunoregulatory properties enhancing immune functions. Thymosin a1 has a molecular formula of C129H215N33O55 a.a. sequence of Ac-Ser-Asp-Ala-Ala-Val-Asp-Thr-Ser-Ser-Glu-Ile-Thr-Thr-Lys-Asp-Leu-Lys-Glu-Lys-Lys-Glu-Val-Val-Glu-Glu-Ala-Glu-Asn-OH and having a Mw of 3108.32.\n\nDimers and Aggregates: \nLess than 1% as determined by silver-stained SDS-PAGE gel analysis.\n\nEndotoxin: \n(same/less than) 0.1ng/ug (IEU/ug) of Thymosin a1.\n\nProtein Content: \nProtein quantitation was carried out by two independent methods:\n1. UV spectroscopy at 280 nm.\n2. Analysis by RP-HPLC, using a calibrated solution of Thymosin-alpha1 as a Reference Standard.\n\nSolubility: \nIt is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Thymosin alpha1 in sterile 18MOmega-cm H2O not less than 100microg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.\n\nStability: \nLyophilized Thymosin-a1 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -180C. Upon reconstitution Thymosin a1 should be stored at 40C between 2-7 days and for future use below -180C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
