Thyroid Hormone Receptor, alpha 1, alpha 2

Thyroid hormones regulate general metabolism and normal cellular growth and development. These actions are regulated by the thyroid hormone receptor (TR), a ligand-dependent transcriptional factor. At least two genes and several isoforms encode TR. Recent studies have implicated a role of TRs in thyroid hormone-induced apoptosis in larval tissues and proliferation of adult cell types (1-3).\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Western Blotting. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blotting: 1:1000. Detects isoform alpha-1 (50kD) and alpha-2 (58kD).\n\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
