Tlk1 (PKU beta, serine threonine protein kinase, Serine/threonine protein kinase tousled like 1, TLK1, Tousled like kinase 1)

Tlk-1 (also known as tousled-like kinase, serine/threonine-protein kinase tousled-like 1 and PKU-beta) is a target for Chk1 upon induction of DNA-damage. Tousled-like kinases, first described in arabadopsis, are nuclear serine/threonine kinases that are potentially involved in the regulation of chromatin assembly. Tlk-1 is rapidly and transiently inhibited by phosphorylation following the generation of DNA double-stranded breaks during S-phase. This is cell cycle checkpoint and ATM-pathway dependent. Tlk-1 heterodimerizes with Tlk-2. Multiple isoforms of the protein have been detected. Mature Tlk-1 is reported to have an apparent molecular weight of~86kD,~89kD and~64kD corresponding to isoforms 1, 2 and 3 respectively.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nELISA: 1:10,000-1:50,000\nWestern Blot: 1:200-1:2000\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
