The Toll-like receptor (TLR) family in mammal comprises a family of trans-membrane proteins characterized by multiple copies of leucine rich repeats in the extracellular domain and 1L-1 receptor motif in the cytoplasmic domain. Like its counterparts in Drosophila, TLRs signal through adaptor molecules (1). The TLR family is a phylo-genetically conserved mediator of innate immunity that is essential for microbial recognition (2). Ten human homologs of TLRs (TLR1-10) have been described (3). Amount this family of receptors, TLR2 and TLR4 have been most studied. These studies have suggested that TLR2 and TLR4 may serve as potential main mediatiors of LPS signaling (4,5). The mouse TLR4 cDNA codes for a protein consisting of 839 amino acids, with an approximate molecular weight of 90kD (6). Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Flow cytometry, Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml Immunohistochemistry: 1:50 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended Secondary Antibodies I1904-39: IgG, X-Adsorbed (HRP) Pab Gt xRb I1904-40A: IgG, H&L, X-Adsorbed (HRP) Pab Gt xRb I1904-46Q: IgG, H&L (HRP) Pab Gt xRb Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
