Established from the peripheral blood of a 62-year-old man with Philadelphia chromosome negative chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) in blast crisis in 1985; cells were described to be Ph-negative, BCR-ABL1-negative; cells appear to be rather a "normal" B-lymphoblastoid cell line (B-LCL)
