Tumor necrosis factor (TNF, cachexin or cachectin and formerly known as tumor necrosis factor-alpha) is a cytokine involved in systemic inflammation and is a member of a group of cytokines that stimulate the acute phase reaction. Biological Activity: Induces cell death at a concentration range of 0.1-1ng/ml (WEHI 164 cells). Sequence: A FLAG(R)-tag is fused at the N-terminus of human TNF-alpha (aa 85-223). Storage and Stability: Short-term Storage: +4 degrees C Long-term Storage: -20 degrees C Stable for at least 1 year after receipt when stored at -20 degrees C.
