DNA topoisomerase II-binding protein 1 (TopBP1) is a protein that interacts with the C-terminal region of topoisomerase II beta (Topo II beta). TopBP1 function has been found to be important to various aspects of cellular growth control such as DNA replication, the DNA damage checkpoint, and cell survival. TopBP1 interacts with several proteins through its BRCA1 C-terminal (BRCT) motifs. TopBP1 interacts and inhibits E2F1 transcriptional activity through an Rb-independent mechanism that involves recruitment of the SWI/SNF chromatin-remodeling complex proteins Brg1 and Brm.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 3 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
