T-cell factor 3 (transcription factor 7-like 1, TCF-3) is a component of the Wnt signaling pathway, which functions in CNS patterning, proliferation and neurogenesis, and a dominant downstream effector in embryonic stem cells (ESCs).TCF-3 binds to and represses the Oct4 promoter, and plays an important role in modulating the appropriate level of gene transcription in ESCs and during embryonic development (1, 2).TCF-3 is necessary for the terminal differentiation of epidermal cells, the formation of keratohyalin granules and the development of the barrier function of the epidermis.It down-regulates NQO1, leading to increased mitomycin c resistance.It is detected in hair follicles and skin keratinocytes, and at lower levels in stomach epithelium (2). Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 1:100 Western Blot: 1:1000-1:5000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Manufactured incorporating RabMAb(R) technology under Epitomics US patents, No 5,675,063 and 7,429,487, owned by Abcam.
