Transforming Growth Factor beta 3 (TGF beta 3) is a member of the TGF beta family of growth factors. The TGF beta polypeptides are multifunctional, capable of influencing cell proliferation, differentiation, and other functions in a wide range of cell types. The multi-modal nature of TGF beta is seen in its ability to stimulate or inhibit cellular proliferation. In general, cells of mesenchymal origin appear to be stimulated by TGF beta whereas cells of epithelial or neuroectodermal origin are inhibited by the peptide. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:10-1:2000 for 10 minutes at RT. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10 minutes followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes. Demonstrates cytoplasmic staining. Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 1:10-1:2000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Huamn Placenta Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
