Translin (Component 3 of Promoter of RISC, C3PO, TSN, BCLF-1, RCHF1, REHF-1, TBRBP, TRSLN)

Translin is a DNA-binding protein which specifically recognizes conserved target sequences at the breakpoint junction of chromosomal translocations. Translin polypeptides form a multimeric structure that is responsible for its DNA-binding activity. Recombination-associated motifs and translin-binding sites are present at recombination hotspots and may serve as indicators of breakpoints in genes which are fused by translocations. These binding activities may play a crucial role in chromosomal translocation in lymphoid neoplasms. Recent evidence suggests that in combination with a binding partner Trax, Translin binds RNA and mediates trafficking in neurons.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml\nImmunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 5ug/ml\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control:\nRat Lung Tissue Lysate\n \nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
