Trefoil Factor 3, NT (TFF3)

Trefoil factors are secreted polypeptides charakterized by a conserved trefoil domain structure defined by 3 specific disulfide bonds. TFFs were originally identified in the gastrointestinal tract where they were reported to have protective and reparative functions. The reparative function is\nascribed to their motogenic activity in early phases of epithelial restitution. During recent years expression was found to be associated with other mucous epithelia as well. Moreover, TFF\npeptides appear to be involved in the enhancement of neoplastic progression. Three human genes have been identified (TFF1, TFF2 and TFF3) clusted on chromosome 21q22.3.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation,\nImmunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. \n\nRecommended Dilution: \nWestern Blot: 0.5ug/ml for HRPO/ECL detection. Recommended blocking buffer: Casein/Tween 20 based blocking and blot incubation buffer.\nImmunoprecipitation: 1ug/10e6 SW480 cells\nImmunocytochemistry: 1-10ug/ml (2-5ug/ml for DAB staining)\nImmunohistochemistry: Paraffin sections\nOptimal dilution determined by the researcher. \n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
