Mouse triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells 1 (TREM-1), is a 30kD member of the immunoglobulin superfamily expressed on neutrophils and a subset of monocytes. TREM-1 is involved in the microbial inflammatory response. It acts in conjunction with the adaptor protein DAP12 to activate neutrophils and monocytes, leading to the secretion of pro-inflammatory mediators and enhancement of the inflammatory response. Microbial infection also induces the release of soluble form of TREM-1 from monocytes, which is reported to act as an inhibitor of TREM-1. TREM-1 mediates the septic shock pathway, and blocking TREM-1 has been reported to reduce inflammation and increase survival in certain models of bacterial infection. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: Neat-1:10 10ul label 1x10e6 cells in 100ul. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
