TRIF (Toll-interleukin-1 Receptor Domain-containing Adapter Inducing Interferon-beta, TICAM-1, TIR-containing Adaptor Molecule-1)

TRIF is involved in innate immunity against invading pathogens. It is an adaptor used by TLR3 and TLR4 (through TICAM-2) to mediate NF-kappaB and interferon-regulatory factor (IRF) activation and to induce apoptosis. Ligand binding to TLR3 and TLR4 results in TRIF recruitment through its TIR domain. Distinct protein-interaction motifs allow recruitment of the effector proteins TBK1, TRAF6 and RIPK1, which in turn, lead to the activation of transcription factors IRF3 and IRF7, NF-kappaB and FADD respectively. TRIF is ubiquitously expressed with higher levels in liver.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Immunoprecipitation, Western Blot\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
