Cardiac Troponin T, a 36kD protein, is the tropomyosin binding subunit of the troponin complex, which is located on the thin filament of striated muscles and regulates muscle contraction in response to alterations in intracellular calcium ion concentration. Mutations within the protein have been associated with familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy as well as with dilated cardiomyopathy. Transcripts for the gene undergo alternative splicing that results in many tissue specific isoforms. Applications: Suitable for use in Sandwich ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
