Tubulin, the major protein component of microtubel is a heterodimer of two different alpha- and beta-subunits. Tubulin isotypes have been identified and their expression was shown to be tissue specific. Immunocytochemical studies using mAb revealed remarkable heterogeneity of tubulin within various nervous tissue. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: Frozen Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Additional info: Recognizes human alpha-tubulin. Strongly reactive with the granular cell layer, weakly with the basal and the squamous layer. Unreactive with the horny layer of the epidermis or dermis. Weakly reactive with connective tissue cells in the dermis and moderately reactive which endothelial cells of blood vessels. Strong activity with the epithelium of the trachea and large bronchi.
