TYRO3 is an 890aa membrane protein belonging to the protein kinase superfamily, Tyr protein kinase family and AXL:UFO subfamily, with two fibronectin type-III domains, two Ig like C2 type domains and a protein kinase domain. The receptor TYRO3, along with other receptor tyrosine kinases like Axl and Mer, form the Axl:Tyro3 family and play essential roles in spermatogenesis, immunoregulation, and phagocytosis. The kinase activity of all these three receptors is activated by the product of growth arrest-specific gene, Gas6. In addition to signal transduction, they may participate in cell adhesion, particularly in the central nervous system and also as cell entry factor of filoviruses. TYRO3 and other receptor tyrosine kinases interact with RanBPM and are suspected to play some role in tumorigenesis, inflammation as well as other cell proliferative diseases. It is expressed abundantly in brain and with less abundance in other tissues.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 0.25-1ug/ml\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control:\nSpleen\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
