Tyrosine Hydroxylase, phosphorylated (Ser40) (TH, TYH, Tyrosine 3 Hydroxylase, Tyrosine 3 Monooxygenase)

Tyrosine Hydroxylase (TH) is the rate-limiting enzyme in the synthesis of the catecholamines Dopamine and Norepinephrine. TH antibodies can therefore be used as markers for dopaminergic and noradrenergic neurons. We raised this polyclonal antibody against a peptide representing the sequence around Ser40 in rat TH. Suitable for most immunochemical applications in a variety of mammalian and some non-mammalian species. \n\nApplications: \nSpecific for 60kD rat TH phosphorylated at Ser40 in lysates of PC-12 cells stimulated by Okadaic Acid (1 uM for 60 minutes). Some higher molecular weight bands may be detected depending upon the brain region being studied, protein loads, and the detection methods used. Applications include dot blots, IHC and Western blots. \n\nRecommended Dilution: \nDot blot: 1:1000\nImmunohistochemistry: 1:1000\nWestern blot: 1:1000\n\nRecommended Positive Control : okadaic stimulated PC-12 (1 uM, 60 min)\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
