Tyrosine, phosphorylated (Tyr)

Cat no: T9228-75B

Tyrosine, phosphorylated (Tyr)

Since the original observations that protein tyrosine kinases (PTKs) play critical roles in oncogenic transformation (1,2), it has become clear that both protein tyrosine kinases and phospho-tyrosine phosphatases control a wide range of critical biological processes (3,4). Antibodies specific for phospho-tyrosine (5,6) have been invaluable reagents in these studies. Phospho-tyrosine monoclonal antibodies provide exceptionally sensitive new tools for studying tyrosine phosphorylation and monitoring tyrosine kinase activity in high throughput drug discovery.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry, ELISA, Immunofluorescence and Flow Cytometry. Other applications have not been tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 1:2000 \nImmunoprecipitation: 1:100 \nImmunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:100 \nImmunofluoresence (frozen): 1:400\nImmunofluorescence (IC): 1:400\nELISA: 1:1000 \nFlow Cytometry: 1:400\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Additional Info

Binds phospho-Tyr in a manner largely independent of the surrounding amino acid sequencein ELISA. Binds to a larger number of phospho-Tyr-containing peptides than any other commercially available anti-phospho-Tyr monoclonal antibody. Does not crossreact with peptides containing phospho-Ser or phospho-Thr. Species Crossreactivity: All species
