Uroguanylin is a 16aa peptide that is secreted by enterochromaffin cells in the duodenum and proximal small intestine. Guanylin acts as an agonist of the guanylyl cyclase receptor GC-C and regulates electrolyte and water transport in intestinal and renal epithelia.
Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry, Western Blot and RIA. Other applications not tested.

ELISA: 1:2000
Immunohistochemistry (Acrylic resin): 1:800
Western Blot: 1:1000
RIA: 1:10,000

Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
