Urokinase (Urokinase-type plasminogen activator, uPA, EC 3.4.21.73) is a serine protease, which catalyzes the conversion of the plasminogen to active plasmin, which in turn participates in thrombolysis. Urokinase inhibitors have potential applications in cancer therapy. \n\nIntended Use:\nApplications include screening potential inhibitors of Urokinase and can used to characterize/study Urokinase inhibitors.\n\nTest Principle:\nUrokinase Inhibitor Screening BioAssay(TM) Kit utilizes the ability of Urokinase to cleave a synthetic AMC-based peptide substrate to release AMC, which can be detected by measuring its fluorescence at Ex/Em = 350/450nm. In the presence of the Urokinase specific inhibitors, the enzyme activity is inhibited or completely abolished. This assay kit is a simple, sensitive, and rapid tool to screen potential Urokinase inhibitors.\n\nKit Components:\nUrokinase Assay Buffer, 1x25ml\nUrokinase Substrate, 1x0.20ml\nHuman Urokinase, 1x vial\nUrokinase Inhibitor (GGACK Dihydrochloride), 10mM, 1x10ul\n\nStorage and Stability:\nStore powder at 4 degrees C liquid at -20 degrees C.
