CD87, known as urokinase plasminogen activator-receptor (uPAR), is a 36-68kD single-chain glycophosphotidylinositol (GPI)-anchored glycoprotein. The extracellular region of CD87 consists of three homologous domains, D1, D2, and D3. Membrane-bound and soluble (D2D3) forms of uPAR have been reported. The membrane-bound CD87 is expressed on granulocytes, monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, fibroblasts, endothelial cells and keratinocytes. CD87 plays a role in cell adhesion and chemotaxis through binding to B1, B2 and B3 integrins. CD87-bound uPA converts plasminogen to plasmin. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: (same/less than) 1ug/10e6 cells in 100ul or 100ul whole blood. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
