Voltage-dependent anion channels (VDAC) are small pore-forming membrane proteins that regulate metabolite exchange across the mitochondrial outer membrane. Apart from metabolite transfer, VDAC role has also been suggested during apoptosis. VDAC2 is one of the isoforms of VDAC. It interacts with BAK and functions as a specific inhibitor of BAK-dependent mitochondrial apoptosis.
Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution::
ELISA: 1:64,000
Western Blot: 1:64,000 & 0.3-1ug/ml
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 2.5-5ug/ml
