The macrolide antibiotic Venturicidin A, isolated from a Streptomyces sp., is a potent inhibitor of mitochondrial ATP synthase complex acting on the F0 membrane sector. Originally isolated as an antifungal agent. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at 4 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
