Vesicular Acetylcholine Transporter (VAChT)

Acetylcholine transferase synthesizes the neurotransmitter acetylcholine (ACh) from choline and acetyl CoA. ACh is packaged and stored into synaptic vesicles until its release. ACh is hydrolyzed by acetylcholine esterase (AChE) to yield choline and acetate. Choline is taken up by the high affinity VAChT/VAT located at the membrane and recycled for synthesis of ACh.\n \nApplications: \nSuitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 1-10ug/ml using ECL.\nELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml. Control peptide can be used to coat ELISA plates at 1ug/ml.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nRecommended Control Peptide: \nV2121-86C: Vesicular Acetylcholine Transporter, Rat, Control Peptide (VAChT)\n\nRecommended Secondary Antibodies:\nI1906: IgY Pab Rb x Ch\nI1906-01: IgY, Fc (HRP) Pab Gt x Ch\nI1906-10: IgY (HRP) Pab Rb x Ch\nI1906-12: IgY (FITC) Pab Rb x Ch\nI1906-14: IgY (AP) Pab Rb x Ch\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
