Reconstitution:\nReconstitute to 1mg/ml with distilled water.\nFor filaments:\nAfter vimentin is dissolved in 9.5 M urea buffer (see above), protofilaments and filament complexes are obtained by dialyzing the resulting polypeptide solution stepwise to a concentration of 4 M urea and then to low salt condition (50 mM NaCl, 2 mM dithiothreitol, 10 mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.4). \nFor immunization:\nThe solution can be further dialyzed against PBS (phosphate buffered saline, e.g. Dulbecco's PBS)\n\nIsoelectric Point: 5.3.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in ELISA, as a protein standard in 1D and 2D SDS gels and in Immunization. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilutions:\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer
