The vesicular monoamine transporter is responsible for the vesicular uptake of monoamines, like dopamine, norepinephrine, epinephrine, serotonin and histamine. \n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence Microscopy and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. \n\nRecommended Dilution: \nImmunohistochemistry (Frozen): 1:2000-1:3000 using FITC secondary antibody; Incubation overnight at 4 degrees C. 10-100ug immunogen per ml diluted antiserum abolishes staining.\nImmunofluorescence Microscopy: 1:2000-1:3000\nWestern Blot: 1:500; Using a crude synaptic vesicle fraction of rat brain, a 70kD band is recognized.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. \n\nRecommended Positive Control:\nIHC-T5595-7163: Rat small intestine\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
