The vesicular monoamine transporter is responsible for the vesicular uptake of monoamines, like dopamine, norepinephrine, epinephrine, serotonin and histamine. \n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution: \nImmunohistochemistry (Frozen sections): 1:800-1:1200 using FITC. Incubation time overnight at 4 degrees C. Absorption with 10-100ug immunogen per ml diluted antiserum abolishes staining. Dilute after reconstitution with 0.15M PBS, 1% BSA and 0.1% sodium azide. \nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nRecommended Positive Control: \nFrozen sections of rat small intestine. \n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol and store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Species Crossreactivity: Guinea pig (in fundus tissue, only positive on nerve fibers; endocrine cells are negative); most mammals including human, canine, mouse, hamster, as well as chicken and frog. Negative with porcine intestinal tissue.
