The trypsin-like protease, NS3, and its co-factor, NS2b, play an essential role in replication and are therefore potential targets for treatment and prevention of West Nile Virus disease.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Direct ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:
Direct ELISA: 0.5-1.0ug/ml. The detection limit is ~2ng/well.
Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml. Using a colorimetric detection system, the detection limit is ~5ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions. Chemiluminescent detection will increase sensitivity by 5-50 fold.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
