Wnt1 (Proto-oncogene Wnt-1, Proto-oncogene Int-1 Homolog, INT1)

Wnt1, a 370aa protein belonging to the Wnt family, is a signaling molecule important in CNS development. It plays a role in oncogenesis and in several developmental processes, including regulation of cell fate and patterning during embryogenesis. Wnt1 signaling is involved in many functions including the inhibition of apoptosis in several cancers, inhibition of interfollicular progenitor cell growth and it promotes terminal differentiation of keratinocytes and plays a role in angiogenesis by endothelial cell growth control that is mediated through cell-cell contact. Wnt1 blockade by either monoclonal antibody or siRNA induces cell death in sarcoma cells. It is expressed in hair follicles, sebaceous glands, skin and other tissues.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nELISA: 1:100-1:1000\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
