Yes is the cellular homolog of the Yamaguchi sarcoma virus oncogene. This protein has tyrosine kinase activity and belongs to the src family of proteins. Yes is closely related to thymidylate synthase (1). It promotes infectivity of Neisseria gonorrhoeae in epithelial cells by phosphorylating MCP/CD46 (2). Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000-1:10,000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:100 Immunocytochemistry: 1:50-1:100 Immunoprecipitation: 1:10-1:100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
