A selective inhibitor of cyclic-GMP phosphodiesterase (PDE V, calmodulin insensitive). Since cGMP mediates the vasorelaxant action of nitric oxide, as well as the natriuretic and diuretic effect of a Melting Point: 237-238 degrees C dec.
