ZBTB6 (Zinc Finger and BTB Domain-containing Protein 6, Zinc Finger Protein 482, ZNF482, Zinc Finger Protein with Interaction Domain, ZID)

The ZBTB family of proteins is comprised of diverse zinc finger proteins that also contain a BTB (BR-C, ttk and bab) domain. ZBTB6, also known as ZNF482, is highly expressed in brain. While little is known about ZBTB6, other ZBTB proteins, such as ZBTB4 bind methylated DNA and repress transcription. Another ZBTB family member, ZBTB5, also acts as a transcriptional repressor, and can interact with co-repressor histone deacetylase complexes such as BCoR, NCoR, and SMRT via its POZ domain, suggesting that ZBTB6 may also act as a transcriptional repressor.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA, Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 1ug/ml\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control:\nEL4 Cell Lysate\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
