This gene encodes a protein located on a cytoplasmic membrane surface of intercellular tight junctions. The encoded protein may be involved in signal transduction at cell-cell junctions. Two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified for this gene. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Peptide ELISA Titer: 1:128,000 Western Blot: 0.3-1ug/ml ~170kD band observed in Human Brain (Cerebral Cortex) lysates (calculated MW of 187kD according to NP_783297.2). Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
