It is a fantastic multifunction microplate reader for any budget conscience life science laboratory that needs fluorescence polarization (FP).
In addition to fluorescence intensity, luminescence, and absorbance detection modes, it uses two PMTs for Simultaneous Dual Emission (SDE) detection in FP. By only having to measure the microplate once, SDE significantly reduces variability while increasing read times.
The POLARstar OPTIMA includes additional features like bottom reading, incubation, multi-mode shaking, and two onboard reagent injectors.
