Alpha fetoprotein (AFP) is an oncofetal protein expressed in the fetal liver but not found in normal healthy adults tissues. Interestingly, it is presented in certain tumors and body fluids This antibody will help detect the presence of AFP in fetak hepatocytes and uncharacterized tissue.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Immunohistochemistry: 1:50 for 1hr at 25 degrees C.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin/Frozen): Fetal liver and Cytoplasmic staining pattern
Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
