AIB 1 (Amplified in Breast Cancer-1)

AIB1-AC3 recognizes AIB1, a member of the SRC-1 family of nuclear receptor coactivators with an apparent molecular weight of 160kD. The AIB1 gene has been mapped to region 20q12 and has been shown to be amplified in breast tumors and pancreatic cancer cell lines. AIB 1 interacts in a ligand-dependent fashion with the estrogen receptor to enhance estrogen-dependent transcriptional gene activation. \n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution: \nWestern Blot: 1-5 mg/ml \nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
