Albumin is a stable small polypeptide with a strong antigenicity. It has a molecular weight of 69000 and an isoelectric point of 5.7.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use as a reference antigen, calibrator, coating protein and blocking agent in a variety of immunoassays including immunodiffusion, immunoelectrophoresis, ELISA, Western Blot, dot-immunobinding assays (DIBA), haemagglutination, and cellbinding assays. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilutions:\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Supplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS, pH 7.2. No preservative added. Reconstitute with 2ml sterile ddH2O, mix gently. Allow to stand 5-10 minutes at RT to reach equilibrium. Working dilutions may be prepared by adding the required amount of PBS, should not be refrozen and preferably used within 24 hours.
