CD14, Recombinant, Human (Monocyte Differentiation Antigen CD14, Myeloid Cell-specific Leucine-rich Glycoprotein)

CD14 acts as a receptor for endotoxin (LPS), is expressed strongly on monocytes, macroпїЅphaпїЅges and weekly at surface of neutrophiles. CD14 is anchored to cells by linkage to glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) and functions as a high affinity receptor LPS-LBP (lipopolysaccharide binding protein)-complexes. Furthermore CD14 is present in a soluble form in human serum, urine and other body fluids, acts at physiological concentrations as LPS agonist and has at higher concentrations an antagonizing effect in cell activation. The myeloid differentiation antigen CD14 acts as the major receptor for bacterial LPS. Upto to 20ug/ml CD14 inhibit binding of FITC-LPS (0.5ug/ml) to 6x10e5 CD14+CHO transfectants (FACS)\n\nEndotoxin: <0.01ng/ml\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
