CD1b,c (Thymocytes) (FITC)

CD1band CD1c are cell surface glycoproteins with Mr=45kD and 43kD, respectively. CD1b an CD1c are encoded by two of five CD1 genes (designated CD1a-e) which are closely linked in a cluster mapping to chromosomal region 1q22-23. CD1a-e bear homology with histocompatibility antigens. This antibody was previously designated as reacting with CD1a. This antibody was reclassified as reacting with the CD1b/c cluster at the Seventh Leukocyte Typing Workshop.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Immunofluorescence and Flow Cytometry Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nFlow Cytometry: 10ul labels 10e6 cells.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nHybridoma: \nX63-Ag8.653 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. \n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. FITC conjugates are sensitive to light.
