CD1c (DCA1, CD1, CD1A, R7, T-Cell Surface Glycoprotein CD1c)

The human CD1 genetic locus consists of five closely related genes. Three of the gene products (CD1a, CD1b and CD1c) have been officially clustered using antibodies and are expressed on cortical thymocytes, a subset of B cells, and on most professional antigen presenting cells. CD1 molecules have a specialized lipid antigen-presenting function and it is unlikely that they present conventional peptide antigens. CD1 may also be involved in costimulation. \n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nFlow Cytometry: 5x10e5 cultured human Molt-4 cells per tube were incubated 45 min on ice with 80ul anti- CD1c antibody at 5ug/ml. Cells were washed twice and incubated with Goat anti-Mouse IgG/FITC at a 1:60 dilution factor, after which they were washed three times, fixed and analyzed by FACS. Cells stained positive with a mean shift of 1.26 log10 fluorescent units when compared to a Mouse IgG1 negative control 0.8 at a similar concentration.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
