CD273, also known as B7-DC and Programmed Death Ligand 2 (PD-L2), is a 42kD member of the immunoglobulin receptor superfamily, and is a ligand for CD279 (PD-1). CD273 is primarily expressed on dendritic cells, and its expression can be induced on inflammatory macrophages when activated by interleukin 4 or Th2 cells. CD273 functions to inhibit T-cell proliferation by blocking cell cycle progression and cytokine production, and is particularly important in the maintenance of self tolerance. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: Neat-1:5; 10ul labels 1x10e6 cells in 100ul Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended Negative Control: I1904-78R3: IgG1 Murine Negative Control (FITC) Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. FITC conjugates are sensitive to light.
