CPI-17 (PKC Potentiated Inhibitor Protein-17)

PKC Potentiated Inhibitor Protein-17 (CPI-17) is a 17kD protein. Expressed in smooth muscles and neuronal cells, CPI-17 is a myosin phosphatase inhibitor protein. Phosphorylation of CPI-17 at Thr38 enhances its inhibitory effect by 100 fold. Once phosphorylated, CPI-17 inhibits PP1c and MLCP holoenzyme activity.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 0.2-1ug/ml. Detects CPI-17 in L6 lysates. L6 lystate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with C7905-50. Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nRecommended Secondary Antibodies: \nI1904-39: IgG, X-Adsorbed (HRP) Pab Gt x Rb\nI1904-40A: IgG, H&L, X-Adsorbed (HRP) Pab Gt x Rb\nI1904-46Q: IgG, H&L (HRP) Pab Gt x Rb\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
